The License Plate Game

Did you ever play the license plate game as a kid? In my opinion, one of the coolest parts of a road trip is seeing so many different state & country plates, and keeping track of them. As of my arrival in New Orleans after 3,600 miles on the road, below is a list of the ones spotted thus far…

    Washington
    California
    Oregon
    South Dakota
    Massachusetts
    Idaho
    British Columbia, Canada
    Florida
    New Hampshire
    Colorado
    Arizona
    New York
    Illinois
    Michigan
    Nevada
    North Carolina
    Tennessee
    Alaska
    Missouri
    Utah
    New Mexico
    Texas
    Arkansas
    Maryland
    Indiana
    Oklahoma
    Nebraska
    Minnesota
    Wisconsin
    Vera Cruz, Mexico
    Louisiana
    Mississippi
    Maine
    Georgia
    Alabama

Here’s hoping we can get all 50 states, and maybe even a few more from Canada as well!

OMG…you made it all the way to New Orleans???

You cannot leave NOLO without hitting “Yo Mamma’s” for something to eat and a micro beer!

I had what I thought was a simple bacon burger but it was more akin to a food orgasm ☺

I can guarantee you’ll add plenty of South Carolina and Virginia during your visit here! 🙂 Heck just walk through the parking lot at my job and you could add a few!
How would we ever have survived roads trips as kids without the licence plate game? It kept us so entertained on those 22 hour car rides I have passed the tradition lovingly to my boys. It has grown to include how many states can you find in the parking lot. Living in a tourist area does have its perks!

We used to play this driving through France where all the Départements are numbered from 1 to 95.
